It can be difficult to move to a new city where you don't know anyone, especially when you are leaving your family and friends you've had for many years. But, sometimes you get lucky when you move and are welcomed into an amazing community of people in similar situations. In my case, I became friends with a huge group of girls whose husbands are also in medical school, which has created a much-needed network of amazing people for me to spend my time with. One of the perks of this group is that I occasionally have the opportunity to take pictures of these girls and their families, and I love every second of it!
Living in St. George means that many of my sessions come from people visiting the area, and I love being able to give them unique photos with the breathtaking red rocks and mountains we have here. When Sydney's family came to town, I was thrilled to be able to capture their family portraits at Pioneer Park (or, as many call it, Dixie Rock).
I knew as soon as I met them that we were going to get along wonderfully. They were fun, friendly, and totally willing to trek around the red rocks in heels (quite masterfully, might I add). We had so much fun getting the kiddies to laugh, and I even let one press the shutter button a few times! I loved getting to know this sweet family and am so happy they chose me as their Southern Utah Family Photographer.
